Hills Like White Elephants

This story takes place at a train station where a male and female go and have a discussion that is clearly an awkward one. Later in the conversation, we find out that the conversation is about an operation, which we discover through context clues to be about abortion. The two have an argument about whether they should proceed with the operation in which the female agrees to the abortion. The females says, "I don't care about me." This insinuates that the female is trying to please the male even though it goes against what she wants. The male now tries to tell her that what she wants is fine with him. When their train approaches, he carries their bags to the train, take a drink by himself, and then the girl ensures the male that she is fine and the story ends.
