Casey's new religion is a very hard thing to understand. There are times when he has his old religion and there are times when he doesn't have one at all, but now he is just studying the people and how they act which in my opinion is a good thing for him to do for now to find himself.

I believe in God, the Holy Spirit, and sin. I believe everything we do in life has already been decided for us. As for Casy's theory, there are parts in which i have similar views. When Casy says we are all part of each other joined by the Human Spirit, I believe that in a sense too. This is because we all have the same Father, God.

Casy's new religion seems to be working for him better than his previous religion. Casy treats everyone equal. For example, when Ma was salting the pork and he jumped in to help her. She said that it was "a woman's work," while Casy said that it was "everyone's work."

I kind of agree with Casy somewhat. I mean you have a right to believe what you want to believe.

I strongly disagree with Casy. Casy’s new religion, the idea of all things being “equal” and “one” and the idea of no sin on earth is nothing short of pantheism or, at the very least, universalism. It’s really nothing more than Casy trying to make an excuse for all of the wrong he’s done over the years rather than actually confronting his actions. It’s easy, and even tempting for a person to say, “Well, there is no sin, so I can do whatever I want to whomever I want and be guilt free!” Luckily, whether we admit it or not, the world doesn’t really work that way. Just because a person has a right to believe what they want to believe doesn’t make them right.

Casy's new religion is not something that I would believe in, but it is understandable for a man like Casy to believe. Since Casy has had a rough past with the holy spirit, it is easy to see why he has lost all faith in it.

I can see where Jim Casy is coming from actually. What is a sin defined as? After preaching and "layin' in the grass" with girls afterwards, was not something to brag upon, but Jim Casy admits what he was doing and is trying to find out what life is really about. Helping out others and really seeing life and what is all about can be the same as embracing God through preaching. It can be something like letting yourself be at peace and compassionate for any other people. Jim Casy's point of view of life and people is something I enjoy reading about.

Casy's new religion kind of makes sense. He noticed how people naturally help other people even if they don't know each other.

I do not agree with Casy's new religion at all. I believe that sin is sin no matter how many people are sinning. Just because everyone sins doesn't make sinning right. It is true, however, that all humans are connected, but this connection is through God and not from humans themselves.
